I’m not sure if Brière would take it he did pass on 2 1st round picks on let someone acquire him during the draft

People need to stop thinking Mantha is contract dump. We're way past that. He's been stellar for the last month. He's not going anywhere and if he is it will be for something good. But even if Mantha is struggling, so is Kuzmenko, Caps wouldn't be throwing in a 1st. It would be a clean swap.

Canucks trade decline.
Anthony Mantha isn’t a good fit for the Canucks.
Washington doesn’t need another winger in their roster.

A top 6 scoring winger signed past this season would be huge for the Caps lol

but yea, I don't see Mantha fitting in Van. And the Caps won't move that first unless it's something crazy

Kuzmenko didn’t ask for a trade, and he is not going anywhere.

I'm fine with the logic of trading him, but not selling him low, I think a first is fine and if it saves cap and moves money from wing to D or C I'm for it. I never said he asked for a trade.

Fine drop Mantha, I was viewing it as neutral value with retention.

If he can't handle it he's still a good winger at that price or bottom 6C and you can move Miller back, but I think the value of getting Miller to wing is worth it.

I've heard the rumour, but everything since has suggested it was not true. It sounds like it was at most 1st plus something else.

I'm not saying Kuzmenko necessarily lol, I just said "a top 6 scoring winger." That's pretty broad
