Leafs would highly consider this. Make it a 3rd instead of the 4th and I would probably do this. Especially if we can sign Tanev for 2 years at 3m a year.

we will see what Tanev gets, but this is the high end of what I personally would pay from the Leafs.

None of these trades are crazy, but I don't think CGY needs to retain anything on Hanifin with Arizona - they have plenty of room to fit him.

Loose the retention on Hanifin and replace the 2024 1st for a 2024 2nd (your choice) and it is a deal that would likely get inked. AZ would need assurances from the Hanifin camp that a 4-5yr term extension is acceptable.

1. Good trade. Calgary could add a little extra too, a 3rd or maybe Dillon Dube if Colorado likes him.
2. Calgary declines. Removing the Calgary pick and adding a Toronto 3rd or a decent prospect gets Calgary to consider it.
3. This one is an overpay for Hanifin, should probably remove one of the picks. Arizona doesn't need retention either.
