Flames pass. We'll swap you Dube for Brannstrom though. Both players need a change of scenery imo

I do like your Dube for Brannstrom swap more but, I think Calgary would say yes, they have no LD (as of right now) for next year.

I haven't checked but, Sens fans have been swearing up and down that Brannstrom has some great defensive adavnced analytics (I haven't checked myself). Resigning him and pairing him with Weegar could be pretty good.

I imagine Wedgewood would only sign for 1mil if Goalie spots run out quick, the dude has earned a pay raise at least 2mil but closer to 2.5mil

I'll bet that Matt Roy's new contract with Los Angeles will be for significantly more, both in money and in term.

How much better is Chabot compared to FEHÉRVÁRY for them to give up give up him, a 1st, a 2nd and 6 million of cap space?

Brannstrom is solid defensively but he also doesn't play super heavy minutes either afaik.

You are right at as of right now Calgary only has 2 NHL defensemen signed foe next year. That doesn't mean they will trade a high pick for ine though

Fair enough, on how you see it.
I see the Flames acquiring a Dman who will probably be cheap and potentially long-term (I can see him signing potentially 3.5 mil deal around 4yrs in a sign\trade), young-ish and will play in the top 4 with either Weegar or Andersson, I think that values close to a 2nd, it will be more than worth it if he plays well in the role.
But he is a 3rd pair guy on Ottawa (not the greatest defensive team) so how valuable is he really.

Tough to say but, I'm not mad that we disagree. I think it's a tough call
