I wouldn't mind adding Middleton and I wouldn't mind swapping Sammy for Flower. But I have zero interest in trading Jarnkrok. He is a much needed member of our forward group.

Also, Minny would much rather picks and prospects than Jarnkrok.

Honestly the most likely scenario is Sammy gets sent down… but if a trade were to take place.

Unpopular opinion, Jake Middleton is an absolute unit, and would make a way bigger difference than Chris Tanev, and people would still let Jarnkrok go for that fossil.
If Leafs want to fix their D situation, it’s hard not to say that a sacrifice has to be made somewhere. And I think Minnesota (who’s already swimming in a few picks), need to score just a bit more goals. Why wouldn’t they be interested in forward depth and a guy like Jarnkrok ? Guy’s having a great year.

Minnesota has pretensions for a playoff spot (right now, on percentage, they're in the second wild-card slot), so I don't see them trading Middleton.

10 team no trade list. Pretty sure Minnesota was a casual rumour during the 2022 seasoon as a destination so I don’t see it as outrageous.



If they’re confident that they could take the risk and come out on top vs. Blues and Oilers (I would not write these teams off) with Spurgeon back and Brodin also back next week. But where things stand right now personally I’d give them at most a 40% chance of making the playoffs. They need a solid forward.
