Description

Fitzy should be getting more blame, he knew that issues but refused to do anything. 3 Rookie Dmen is a NO NO. But Fitzy didnt wanna get a vet LD so he can rotate Bahl in and out, also knew the Goalies were a problem but instead sign Kallgren who isnt even on Utica.

I was wrong on the goalies being fine in the offseason. the System they run is exposed on the daily, so speed isnt everything. they need to be more physical. Hope Fitzy wake tf up and does something, Whether its overpay for Gibson or its getting a cheaper goalie whos having a good season or what should be the last option Allen.

They need two Dmen one offensive so Nemec can go back to the AHL and one Physical Dman cuz they need someone who isnt soft which this whole team is most of the time. They need size,length and physicality

This is an overreaction but not really i just dont like what Fitzy did and im losing faith in him but like i said hope he wakes up and takes accountability for this disappointing season so far. The Goalies and Defence is way to inconsistent im getting real tired of it.

Not sure anyone who watches tonight’s game, thinks…we need more Bahl, less Nemec. Bahl was good last night, but stunk tonight. It’s been frustrating.

Kallgren was not a signing for NHL…he was depth guy for Utica until Daws returns. He is probably sixth on our depth chart.

I don’t have many complaints about Fitzy. I think he has done well.

Agreed. He had nothing to do with 86 and 13 going down early. That 41 would be shell shocked 6 months after a playoff run. That the pwr fwd we have needed would come up lame after a good start. And yet he'll pull a few (unsuspecting) rabbits outta hats

I don’t mind his roster construction at all, think Fitzgerald is one of the top 5 strongest GMs in the NHL in his overall abilities.
Hiring staff seems to be a true weakness of his however. Doubling down on Ruff + bringing Travis fricking Greene in, instead of handing the reigns to Andrew Brunette over has got to be Fitzgerald’s biggest failure as a GM to date.

Lindy extended only one year (with one year option). When news came out earlier this season, that Lindy was on. The hot seat, Elliotte Friedman said Travis Green was hired to be coach-in-waiting. I hope that is not true.

Knowing Fitzy, my guess is that Dineen may have just as good a chance to be next in line.

We have had some important pieces leave (Brunette, Sevo, Graves, Wood, Tatar) and injuries all over (Hughes, Hischier, Hamilton, Miller, Meier, Haula, Nosek, Foote, Halonen, etc). Hard to ding Fitzy for those.

Hope he has some creative ways in using the cap space for balance of this season.
