I don't think they do unless that means st louis is paying for another team to bring Kapanen down to 800k cap hit cause when Soucy is back won't be enough room. And brining in Kap means putting one of PDG, Aman or someone else on waivers which I don't think k they want to do that

I definitely think the two 4ths and Woo over values Kap, but I agree if the second 4th is used for double retention this is probably about right and maybe makes more sense that way.

You could send PDG to the minors, but it won't work because Vancouver is tight with the cap space.
But I do like the trade though.

I have no issue putting pdg on waivers for kappen imho we have enough to squeeze him in at 1.6 if I recall correctly to me it seems like a very low risk high reward type of move

Doesn't make since for the Blues imo. I doubt Woo ever really establishes himself as a legit NHLer. The 2 4ths don't add much, If anything the Blues re-sign Kapanen, I just don't see them trading him unless it is an overpay

Kapanen is a waivers claim. Todate 4 goals and a -4 in 36 games on the 3rd line, and you want to give up Jet Woo, who is arguably ready to take the next step and has had rave reviews this year from guys like Chris Faber (before joining the Canucks). PLUS two fourth rounders???? Give your head a shake. HES A WAIVERS CLAIM!
