If Leafs want a great improvement then Minten or Cowan will need to go. If they want to keep them, then we will have Rielly surrounded by a bunch of middling D and Brodie Timmins in 5/6 role. Need a D to play with Rielly and have tern left. Minten or Cowan will have to go no matter what Tre said to the media

I agree and I doubt he waives his 8 team clause to go to Toronto. It would be another Josh Gorges situation.
He's pretty happy to be playing at home. He's become a very good offensive play driver especially paired with Savard. It's a good offer but it would have to come from another team and would need to be at next years TDL. It's too soon to be stripping the team of all their talent.
When Hutson is ready, they'll have a deal to consider.

I wouldnt call Matheson a 2 way Dman though paired with McCabe much like David Savard it would be a good match. Matheson is an elite skater that can cover his defensive mistakes BUT he still makes a lot of risky plays.
