They don’t need 6 years of Ryan Graves no team does.

Sabres are probably last franchise that should try reclamation projects on players with 5+ years left on the contract

Since Nov. 1 Clifton-Dahlin 39TOI 5v5 3GF 1GA ...just saying.

I think the Sabres have the pieces on D...they just aren't using the best pairings. I loved Sammy-Dahlin last year....this year....yuck.

Since Nov. 1:
R. Johnson-Dahlin 81TOI 3GF 2GA
Sammy-Power 82TOI 2GF 1GA
E.Johnson-Clifton 129TOI 9GF 5GA

R.Johnson-Power 77TOI 4GF 1GA
Sammy-Joker 27TOI 3GF 0GA
Power-Dahlin 42TOI 5GF 4GA

Small sample sizes for sure, but other than EJ-Clifton (who have been much better than people think), we don't see these pairings often enough.

I don't get the Graves hate. He is a fine player who is having a somewhat down year. Like Petterson 2 years ago, Rust last year, or Rakell this year.

Don't listen to Pens fans who give up faster then a French Brigade when they hear Guten Tag

EJ is like Okposo, fine until you watch him. He feet are gone, and it leaves him lost sometimes. Clifton is hated on too much. Samuelsson Dahlin has been a problem this year but if Dahlin - Clifton has been working, they should put Samuelsson with Power, that also seems to be working

I wanted Graves as a UFA but he is a lot like Power a big guy who is a good skater but not very physical-
Power Dahlin, Sammy Joki, R Johnson Clifton are the pairs I'd go with but these guys have to step up their games

I would agree. Graves plays a good game with enough skill and quickness to get involved or to help cover up. It's his first year in this system and he is playing with two guys (Karlsson and Letang) who love to jump into the play.

Graves has poor gap control, isn't physical, weak active stick defense, and any O in his game has vanished. If you want him please take him. He was a bad fit from the start here.
