I think $5M is about right for Mitts. 20 goals with plus playmaking/assists. Idk how much more so extra term. Jok gets to UFA at 26. Could be attractive for him if he thinks he continues to develop. I'm sure Spurgeon sticks around in Mini forever though.

Plus, the Sabres wouldn’t wanna bring in a small, OLD, offensive defenseman anyways

I like Spurgeon as a player, but man, you can't ignore how injury prone he's been the last season or so and that's only likely to get worse as he gets older. I think if the Wild had a chance to get out from under his cap hit, no matter the return, they'd probably at least consider it if they had a way to reallocate his cap to improve the team.

I suppose that depends on how bullish you think Guerin is on his captain and whether or not spurgeon wants to move. If spurgeon says I want out, then yea probably gets a 2nd and a prospect or something not major. But if Guerin wants him to stay then it would take a haul.

That's fair. There's a lot of factors that could be involved, but this is also a league where Pacioretty was traded for FC just because Vegas wanted the cap room to make another move so you never really know I guess.
