Pretty good lineup you made. Leafs will need some of their youngsters to step up to make the cap work. Leafs are hoping Dmen Niemela, Kokkanen, and winger Tverberg can be contributors.

Seems like most people expect Tavares to take a pretty big discount. Don't you think he'll get at least what Giroux got in Ottawa? I think 3 x 6.5 would still be a big discount for a guy who should still be close to a point per game next season

It's a total guess on what JT will sign for. I think he is not worried about the money but his family being in Toronto is the most important thing. Ekblad if available should be the leafs top priority. That year there is a lot of top d-man that could be available.
