    Dylan Strome is not available.
Why would Hawks have an interest on Tyler Myers 🤨?

Most likely, the Hawks want to be awful on purpose to help with their rebuild and the tank for Celebrini, which imo is most likely a guarantee.

What does this have to do with getting Tyler Myers?

The Hawks want to ice the worst team possible which they are now considering their injured list. So with the cap space they have now and next, they can take on bad contracts to gain more picks for their rebuild.

Myers is a bad contract and it takes a pick to dump him if the Canucks want to sign Petey and Hronek next season though I rather want his contract expire. If the Canucks are desparate, the Hawks have the money to do it

    That’s a good point.
Wish this trade could happen on Trade Deadline.

If Caps were blowing it up then sure but think they are going for it as long as Ovi is going for it.

Dylan Strome has been the best player for the Capitals. Why would the Caps trade him?
In my mind, it’s a big mistake.

He's a solid player but he's not a guy I think the caps will be building around moving forward.

That's a pretty comparable return to what Horvat got when he had 31 goals in 50 games and came with an 8x8 extension.

I would be very surprised if the caps make the playoffs this year. I could see them holding on to him just to not piss Ovie off... but they are a bad team.

Strome is currently on the second longest contract on the Caps, and is only 26. Contract isn't up until 2028. Obviously the Caps see him as a big part of the future in DC lol. And he's playing like it too
