I think you can't have more than three retained salary at the same time.

dickinson can grab a 2nd rounder. AA is not getting that, he's injured. Kurashev retained is worth a late 1st, Hawks have zero reason to retain and without retention can easily land a 2nd rounder.

Teams can only retain on 3 players and that leaves 2 spots open.

Unless the Hawks get a 2nd, I don't see the Hawks retaining to move Dickinson. Pretty sure someone will pay a 2nd if the Hawks haven't extended him before the deadline.

Why bother eating money on AA to get a late 3rd 3 drafts out? Hawks need NHL level player (a lot to begin with) and might as well let AA play to the TDL next year.

Kurashev has been one of the bright spots up front this season and I can't see moving him for a pick in the late 50's 2 drafts from now helping either in the present or future more than just keeping Kurashev and devloping him.

You would have to add something of value to get Colorado to consider moving a 1st for that package....like a 2nd.

Entwhistle is an AHL player on a good (or even mediocre) team....as in you would be lucky to get a 7th.

Stephenson gets some term (like 4-5 years) and signifcantly more salary like 5-6 per coming off 3 straight seasons of 60+ point pace, monster in the playoffs, and has such a well rounded game. He is not going to sign a prove it deal with a bottom feeder when he has already proven it for 3 straight seasons.

No interest there from the Avs in either trade imo. I like Donato but there's nothing in that package worth the first.
