This is a tough team to play against. No shot I'd be trading Poitras tho if I was Boston. That offer also doesn't get Hanifin and Tanev retained

Well Mr Stamkos, what synchronicity this is…cuz Boston want you! What they gotta pay?

What needs to be added to the Calgary dea!l? I do agree Poitras won’t be traded but I mean he is a dime a dozen…

Don’t see Jenner being moved and he’s not a #1 center.

Flames decline.

You could add the Hanifin/Tanev price to the Jenner trade and I honestly think Columbus still doesn't entertain making him available.

Ya ok…hey I wouldn’t wanna lose the guy but there is also a respect factor…like does he deserve to be a part of that fiasco? Get some for him and move on…you can make it back to the first division in 5 years if you play your cards right….

Appreciation to the Jenner respect, but also...where does a late 1st 2 years from now land you a 1C (who's better suited as 2C on a good team) with two more years left at <4M?

Check comments…I added a 2cd if needed…does its take more?

I get that, but he's the captain, GP franchise leader, top-3 in points and goals, and arguably the franchise's most important player ever. It's not a proud history, and he's not the same caliber player, but that's literally like expecting Pittsburgh to move Crosby because they're headed into a rebuild.

It's a touchy subject, I'm one of the few CBJ fans on here that even entertain the thought of trading him, and still preface it with "he's not available right now", and that Jarmo and JD would have to go first. It would signal a massive leadership and culture shift, which could be good.

But to get Columbus to move the guy...it's an absurd price. And you have to outbid every other contender, because nearly all of them can afford a 2C at $3.75M, and nearly all of them could use one.

I appreciate that you're at least being respectful about it, most of the posts on here are just Leafs trolls haha

EDIT: re: your most recent comment, I think it takes a 1st, 2nd, and a top prospect to get Columbus to field offers. So for Boston: 2025 1st, 2026 2nd, and Lysell in all likelihood.

True, but Nash was also making $7.8M back then, and still went for a 1st, Dubinsky (good roster player), Anisimov (good roster player), and Erixon, with a 3rd and Deslisle going the other way. A 1st, 2nd, and top prospect is a pretty similar return IMO. So, yes, there's some precedent but it was still an insane price.

I’m laughing here and thinking ya only Brisebois would pay the crazy price. But ya all jokes and rhetoric aside I scoured yesterday and I really do think Jenner is the guy to get…Vegas Boston Toronto Colorado Florida…they should pay

#1C is a PPG guy or close to it. Jenner is half that. A career high 22 assists is not 1C.

He a great 3C on good team. Or a good 2.

He has no one to pass to…hmm with Marchand and Pasta I’d say he tops 30…plus 30+ goals..wins face offs…hits like a mofo…sounds like a de ent replacement for Bergeron

Laine and Gaudreau = nobody 🤔

Did not say he was not a good target. Said he’s not a #1 and they are not to likely to move him. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes two chumps that are more worried about how pretty they are or how cool their glasses look

Bruins don’t have a 1C now, so he’s a good add imo.

They don’t have a 1, trying to fix it with another 2/3 which they have plenty of is not the answer. It’s a plug not a fix. They need a fix.

Dime a dozen in what sense? He's shown tons of potential for being a 19 year old. His IQ takes years to teach young players and he's a natural center. And no chance I'm leaving Tampa let alone coming to BOSTON

There is not one. Not this year. I’d rather keep our picks than go for short term band-aid rather than fixing the problem.

Talk to me when Elias P wants out of Van.
