The Canucks blueline has been playing very well and they have a very solid #7 and decent #8. Forbort is not needed.

Canucks decline. They already have Hughes, Zadorov, Cole, and Soucy down the left side. They have no space on the blueline for Forbort, who would be an overpaid 7th D at best.

Vancouver and Calgary decline. Why would either team even consider these trades? In the trade with Calgary, you are asking for 2 good players with retained salary this year plus $7.2M in retained salary for the next 3 seasons and all you are offering a bunch of AHL players and a '26 2nd. That 2nd wouldn't get you one of those guys without retaining salary. Vancouver has no need for Forbort, who @$3M is a cap dump, and you think you're getting a pick and prospect back?
