was meant more of a placeholder team for a trade

I think with the quantity of picks the Hawks have, swapping them for a late 1st is definitely something I could see happening. I know Kyle Davidson tried like hell to trade back up into the 1st round last draft.

I'd do it for sure. We have a lot of 2nds. Getting 4 picks in the top ~35 would be good imo.

The swapping of picks is obviously going to depend on who the Hawks have their eyes on and whether or not that player is available when the Canucks pick comes up. It is definitely a scenario I could see playing out and a big reason why you stockpile draft capital in the first place.

I concur with my fellow Hawks fans on the second trade. I could definitely see Kyle Davidson being into that kind of swap. In fact, we need more of those kinds of swaps. We have a ton of depth and bottom 9 projectable players, and we are nearing reserve and contract limits. CHI needs more high quality, high upside, top of the lineup caliber players in their prospect pool. So, the more 1st round picks, the merrier, IMO.
