Description
Retool via picks and prospects and a dream.

In 25/26 you get Giroux to take a large discount (down to $3M) and use his cash and the $4 Mil cap increase (total = $7.5M) to resign konecny ($8M), Chychrun ($6M) and greig ($3M), or you trade norris for more cap space because the sens won Celebrini in the 2023 draft lottery. Win the cup many years in a row.

If this team can't figure it out then the Sens are cursed.

JBD and Sokolov were both on waivers and PHI didn;t want them for free, (i know JBD has played better, but does PHI want another RD?) Boucher hasn;t strung together an injury free year and the 1st is 2025? Theres just not enough there for Koneckny.

The rights to carter Hart and Koneckny for Jarventie, Boucher, OTT 1st 2025, Pinto and cap hit Korpisalo at end of this season.

Sure, that's fair. I'd happily add/substitute any more of our other prospects to get it done TBH. Which ones they are doesn't matter too much.

Sure, that's fair. I'd happily add/substitute any more of our other prospects to get it done TBH. Which ones they are doesn't matter too much.

substitute Pinto for Grieg and i believe Staois would accpet, he is extremely high on Pinto and will most likely not move him.

The whole point of these trades are to minimize roster turn over. So no Pinto and no Greig. get it done with prospects and picks. Korpisalo if Philly wants. Which prospects and picks doesn't matter too much.

Also the Canes may need goaltending in the short term, but Koorpisalo is not worth the contract he has and thus is not a target.

Weegar and Konecny are my two dream players for Ottawa, but might be hard to convence both Calgary and Philly to let them go. Konecny will be a UFA soon though.

This trade seems legit but I wouldn't be willing to let Pinto or Greig go. Maybe replace Pinto for Ostapchuk/Brannstrom and pick

Calgary declines that deal. The picks are fine, but the prospects don't cut it and there is no roster player coming back. You gotta give to get.

Yeah, not good enough really. I get that Ottawa SHOULD be better than they are, but theyre not, and sometimes it takes a radical change to effect any change.

PHI doesn;t want just futures, and theyd want something more high end than Branstrom/Ostapchuk. Its about the key pieces and those two would be just contracts/roster spots, not part of the reason PHI gives up a fan favouraite and a quality good young goalie.
