Sens need someone like Martinook in the bottom 6. I’d even extend him

Seems fair for chycrun. I’m hoping the caps use that first for some forward help though

So the Canes trade a good bottom 6 leader, and a pick to wedge an offensive forward into their bottom six? Vlad doesn’t displace any of the min leaders on the Canes. He’d end up playing sheltered 5v5 mins and on PP2. Probably comes out to like 8-10 mins per game.

Why would the Canes do this?

He's the coach's favorite and RBA holds a lot of power when it comes to roster composition. I agree that Martinook is the type of player that the Sens need. Maybe they might be willing to deal Brendan Lemieux whos is a good bottom-6 defensive forward (although I don't know how well that would go over with your captain) + 2nd

They might be willing to deal Lemieux who is also a good defensive forward

No thanks to Lemieux . Not exactly wanted on the Sens. He also bit Tkachuk so no

We don’t want anyone other than Fast, Noesen, Martinook or Drury. Otherwise just do the pick

I don’t understand why we’d trade a pick for Vlad. There is only one opening in the top 6 at Center. You trade a premium pick and all your cap space for what?

As opposed to Martinook... I'd rather give them a second. Martinook is a known entity and a second-round pick isn't at all. I'd rather fix our 2C position by just moving Jarvis over than going outside the organization but if they had to... Vlad would be an okay option

Ask Tampa fans how they feel about Jeannot…and this was made after Tampa won their cups.

Correct, and then they extended him. Vlad isn’t Barbashev…extremely different players.

They’re gonna move someone . And if no one wants Chabot at that cap hit then they’ll be forced to move Chychrun

Why are they going to move someone? They don't have any big extensions to get done this summer, and if they trade away Tarasenko and Kubalik who are pending UFAs, they won't have to worry about resigning them. I would think they'd like to explore their options this summer anyway. I really doubt they would trade away Chychrun who they just acquired

He's not being traded.

That's also a terrible return for Tarasenko btw.

How’s the relationship between Tkachuk and Stutzle? I’m only asking because you’ve seen this in the past. Two high profile, talented players on same team, but not able to mess and play together. I’m wondering if maybe that’s a possibility? I don’t follow or know enough to say, just asking you guys. I’ve stated many times how much I love this team, how talented they are, but this is mind blowing. I didn’t see this coming at all. I’m blown away. Way too much talent on this team.

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux was a very talented line last year but they seem to have forgotten how to play hockey this year. The whole team is playing bad with low effort and constant defensive breakdowns . And allowing quick goals .
