So Montreal gives up cap dumps and players with no value and somehow gets a 1st AND Dubois?

PLD is worth nowhere near the haul the Jets got for him. He is no Huberdeau, but that contract is nasty right now.

His value hasn't dropped that much from 40 down games, he'd still be sought after. Unlike any of the pieces coming from Montreal in this deal.

His contract isn’t nearly as bad as Gallagher’s. Plus Allen and Savard have pretty bad contracts as well. LA isn’t gonna give up on Dubois after 40 games just to take on 3 bad contracts while also adding a 1st and a top 4 dman. They’re giving up by far the 3 best assets in this trade
