Foligno is WELL worth $4.5M, just based on leadership alone. But he is no slouch on the ice in any zone. He is on pace for 30-40 points, defensively responsible, and he has the exact kind of character that CHI is trying to instill in the culture they are building. He is currently CHI's de-facto captain.

Ceci is not needed, nor does he bring anything interesting to the table. We already have Jones and Murphy on the right side, leaving only one RD slot left, which should be used on a young player that projects to be part of CHI's future. And we literally have no reason to be sending out assets for just about anyone, let alone someone we don't need. So, the only benefit to anyone in that trade, is to EDM clearing the cap space for next season. CHI is willing to negotiate and compromise, but they aren't interested in paying teams for the privilege of helping them out of cap issues.
