Florida would be best served focusing on resigning Reinhart, Montour and Forsling.

They wouldn't do that by trading for a 5.75M Zegras while giving up Lundell who is relatively cost controlled into the near future.

Lundell has been very bad in Maurice’s system. They need to move on now. They won’t be able to sign all 3. Montour will go

I recognize Knight has great upside, but he's seeming like the next Jack Campbell as far as getting his head on straight goes.

I don't see Anaheim downgrading to Lundell for that payment.

Cap is offset by Knights contract moving. He's making 4.5 on the same term as Zegras

Knight is also what 22/23! Campbell is 32! Knight still has a future this was just a bad hiccup and he’s getting help!

Vehemently disagree with your characterization of Lundell.

His scoring has gone down but Florida has lots of players to score.

His all around game is solid. Trust me, i watched him for 7 games in the first round last year. You win with players like him.

I was referencing Jacks' entire career, not his recent AHL demotion.

Campbell was drafted 11OA by Dallas back in the day. Incredibly athleticly gifted goaltender, had an massive WC and WHC run pre draft. Sound like a familiar tale?

Besides, we already have Gibson's heir apparent in Dostal.

Not trading Knight just too offset the cap. That would be very shortsighted. Will hold on to that "great upside".

Maybe read what I said then? Knight is the payment for upgrading from Lundell to Zegras, it just so happens to also offsets the cap difference, which was your complaint.

I am saying that Knight isn't sufficient payment for Anaheim to make the trade, as we already have a 3C we're perfectly happy with, and we already have Gibson's heir apparent.

Lundell could be a good 2 way 2nd liner in the right system

Maybe he can, but he's not pushing McTavish or Carlsson out of a center spot, and he's not a significant enough upgrade on Lundestrom to justify the cost of acquisition.

Sounds like the kind of player Colorado is desperate to acquire if he has a good motor.

I don't think any team wants Lundell after this year, he looks rough out there. IMO, he might be traded for another young change of scenery candidate like Dillon Dube.

Knight really hasn't shown he can be more than a backup in the NHL over the last 2 seasons.

Long story short, I think that this offer gets easily beaten by another team.
