Description
Probably won’t look anything like this but I just wanted to give it a shot. Guerin really screwed over our up and coming prospects and the entire team by signing guys to long term contracts with NMCs or NTCs who have no business deserving them.

In this scenario they’d still have 16+ million to spend in FA based on NHLs projection for a rise in salary cap. They could definitely make a big splash signing, I’m just not sure who might be available in 2025 FA at this point in time.

Konsta Helenius is just a personal preference of mine in the 2024 NHL Draft seeing as we’ll likely be picking top 10. I also like players such as Levshunov, Lindstrom, Demidov, Nygard, and Artamonov.

If he is anything like his brother, CHI accepts. The only problem I have with it, is the term of his extension. But even that would probably be fine. The only issue I see interfering, is that he has an NMC. Which is a pretty big one, but with his brother in CHI and loving it, it might tempt him to waive.

My optimism about this team is near an all time low, but I will say Yurov is one of the things I’m most hopeful about. I actually think there’s a decent chance they eventually use him at C, and I think he can be a pretty damn good one.

Guess we’ll see how everything shakes out, but your top 6 here is a fun one to think about.
