You're asking Kings to take on 8m in cap for Chabot. He may not be worth it....which is the reason you're trading him.

You could switch him with Chychrun, basically offer them one or the other, I’ll add that to the description.

Kinda have to overpay to get him to come to Ottawa, plus I don’t think that’s a huge overpay

seems a bit much. I’d have him pegged (as a Ranger fan) somewhere between Zibanejad and Trocheck. 7.5 absolute max. But the Ottawa thing could be a fair enough reason to go that high. Seems a bit risky tho. I like the player but man that’s a gutsy contract giving him

You're right. Five years of for a 30 year old 2C is iffy.

Yes it is. He wasn't worth it before the season, and he's worth even less with his bad play so far this season

Also got to take to account Canadian taxes and such, I agree his likely worth around that much. Heard he’s willing to stay in Calgary for around 9 Million so I’d assume Ottawa would have to offer that much as well.

He’s playing on a bad team. Not saying we’re much better but I’d like to think we have better offensive talent

Respectfully, that's a no from Philly and it's not even close.

Forsberg is more or less a Cap dump, Boucher is a huge project at this point and even though I like Norris his performance this year and injury last year leave too many question marks on his long term value with that contract.

On the other hand, Bonk is having a fantastic D+1 year and looks like a borderline top pair prospect, Hart is one of the better RFA controlled Goaltenders in the league, and that 2nd rounder has more net value than either of Forsberg or Boucher at this point.

I'll put it this way: if Philly is offering Hart + Bonk in a trade package for Ottawa, the guy they're probably asking about is Tkachuk (even though I don't think Ottawa does that/that'd be enough)

Take away bonk from the trade, would you do it?

Assuming this is an offseason deal, it'd be a maybe. A lot of it would probably depend on how Norris performs in the back half of this season, would also probably take out the PHI 2nd and Boucher from the equation

As an FYI, by trading away the Sens 2026 1st, that means Sens will forfeit the 2025 1st. You better be sure that they make the playoffs in 2025

Good point, forgot about that, maybe make it ottawa gets to choose, before 2025 draft if they give that to Falmes and forfeit 2026 or forfeit 2025 and Give the 2026 to Flames

Yeah I think the Flyers would be giving up the best three assets in this deal. Norris would be a great 1-1 for hart if there was some money retained by the OTT. The flyers would prob have to part with a 3rd and a lower tier prospect like Attard.
