Oilers TDL

Philly MAYBE considers without the retention, but I doubt it since both prospects are rapidly losing value. Oilers would easily get outbid without having to retain from someone else</div></div>
As a Philly fan, TK will not be traded for a late round 1st, 3rd two years from now, nor either of those two prospects. Let alone with retention. Im not sure why the Flyers would trade him at all but Im also not sure theres any prospects in the Oilers system they would do it for.

Risto has had a renaissance year under Brad Shaw. Playing less minutes surely, but overall hes been a T4 Quality D man

I think Philly finds much better deals for each of those guys. Both could prob return those picks individually.

Offseason
Not sure why the Sens would do the Flyers trade, not sure the Flyers are the team for that deal (they have a plethora of goalies under contract and Carter who they will prob either trade or sign in the offseason.) The flyers would say yes in a heartbeat if they do trade carter.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DH28Hockey</b></div><div>Assuming this is an offseason deal, it'd be a maybe. Yeah I think the Flyers would be giving up the best three assets in this deal. Norris would be a great 1-1 for hart if there was some money retained by the OTT. The flyers would prob have to part with a 3rd and a lower tier prospect like Attard.

I think Norris is the right player for the team but at the wrong price, even with the cap going up. I like the Brodie signing and I actually think Tipp gets at least 5mil.

I dont think the Flyers would want Dube, they have a plethora of middle 6 wingers. Especially not at that price. Sucks hes having a bad year too...

In general i think he is underrated. No idea the return it would need for philly to accept. But the dude is producing with a horrid line. I get that someone has gotta score on even a bad team but hes been fantastic this season. Cheap too. Being probably the captain next season id assume itll take a lot for a trade.

You do when you're trying to win a Cup. He will end up on the third line but should be on the rest of the leagues 1st or 2nd line. Just makes the case for an incredibly strong and Deep D Core for a playoff run. If this was a normal hockey trade mid season he would retain a 3rd for this season. You get a bit more at the deadline normally.

I think the flyers would say No. Giving up a pick and JVR with frost for a Dman on the wrong side of the Age meter. Doesn't make sense for a rebuild/retool. I think JVR and Frost should be plenty to get the deal done. It's not like JVR is scoring only 2 goals a season. He has 12 goals and has been playing with mediocre Centers and Wingers all year.

As much as i love Laughton The flyers need a Nylander type winger on the team. Don't care for Kerfoot. Would rather have TK and Laughton over Nylander and Kerfoot but Nylander and something else would be more tempting.
Laughton isn't a top 6 by any stretch but the kid can do everything on the ice. PK, LW/C/RW, play anywhere with anyone.

I think this isnt enough for Braun at the moment. He is playing 1st line D minutes with a positive hockey war. Really cheap as well. Playing 20+ a night. Will most likely slot in the third line D pair for most playoff teams but he should be able to get a 2nd for his services.

Braun has been forced into a top 2 Role this year with Ellis out. He has looking nothing but solid. He's no super star or a top line D pair on a competative team but stastically and eye test he is a top 4 this year.

braun is not very good he's just okay</div></div>
He's playing better statistically than Charot this year and charot has been rumored to get a 1st in return. Braun is cheaper, and stastically having one of the best years in his career. MacEwen is a perfect 4th line player/healthy scratch. The team thats put together here has 0 grit since TK is gone. Need to have one guy to do the dirty work.
As for the third i get it.. But JvR having only one more year isn't the end of the world when you will hypothecially have 10 mil in cap space after the coots and farabee extensions go into play.
