Colin Miller worth is nowhere near Sean Monahan and 2 2nds and a 3rd round pick. And Minnesota doesn't need double retention on Claude Giroux when they've nearly $10,555,000 in cap space.

Well Monahan is worth nothing
With that contract, he’s a Cap dump- so I’m assuming that’s why we’re getting an extra 2nd & 3rd
Miller IS worth a 2nd

It’s very conceivable they’d wanna make more moves,
this more Cap Space would come in handy

The main problem with the Monahan trade is that he has a no trade clause and probably would use it to keep from having to come to Buffalo. But yeah, he’s had a pretty crappy year. Hinostroza has played 2/3 the number of games and has 17 points to his 22 and costs 1/8 the price.
