Description

Colton can always shift back to C if Chmelevski struggles

There are tons of options with this forward group but it all really depends on how quick Landeskog can get back up to speed and how well Chmelevski and Kovalenko (re)adjust to the NHL. When healthy heres a guess at the lines:

This would only happen if Fleury asks to be moved to COL for one last playoff run. He doesnt have very good numbers this year but for a low cost I think its worth a shot to see if he can bounce back in a new system

As a Flyers fan, I would prefer the 1st rounder. Johansen isn't going to happen with the Flyers, Torts traded him out of Columbus within 6 months of taking the job.

A first for Frost is too much. He's probably worth around a 2nd + a decent prospect (imo), as he just doesn't have a high enough ceiling to justify a first.

I'm not sure I buy into Chmelevski. But if it were to happen, I feel like it would be more of an offseason move, where he would have more time to adjust and roster holes to fill.

I would be down for Fleury though, if the price was right.

Coaches don’t make trades GM’s do. If torts got what he wanted always, Roslovic/ laine wouldn’t be in Columbus anymore

Frost/ Farabee wouldn’t be in Philly.

Torts hates anyone who doesn’t play both ways. It would be a long list of players moved if he was the GM but he’s the coach and that’s why most guys he hated still remain or lasted longer then he did on teams he coached

In Philly Torts does have a say, while ultimately it is up to Danny Briere torts does have input. Regardless Philly isnt taking Johansen even if torts wasn't the coach. His contract is a problem.
