Description
i understand that a lot would have to happen for this to fall into place and maybe lindholm gets the 9-10 a year from another team.. i don't see it but maybe

if by some miracle this is the roster. this would be one of the most irritating forward groups tampa has ever had. i would say the most majors and game misconducts tampa has ever had in the season.

Even in a down year, I think that is too little for Lind. I likely see his deal being a 7x7.5.

That being said, if he wants to win a cup, this is a good deal to take

and i get that.. and i think tampa could make anything less than 8 work... i just don't get the 9-10 numbers people are throwing out there. maybe i'm missing something

Sheary's fall off is nuts. He was awesome here in DC.

if you watch him this season.. he can't keep the puck on his stick (turnover machine).. he's been by far tampa's worst forward.. to the point where tampa fans want watson over him or any of the rookies that tampa has played

Stamkos is already set at 4-5 years @ $7,500,000 to remain in Tampa. He'll get way more than $4,000,000 per on the open market..

And Elias Lindholm isn't accepting anything less than 7 x $8,500,000 and is asking for slightly more than that.

Will always love Sheary and thought it was a good fit when he signed in Tampa. That being said, I think WSH just has too many of those 3rd line winger types to take him back -- Lappierre, Milano, Oshie, Pacioretty, Phillips, even guys like Miroshnichenko or Snively in Hershey. Maybe they would be open to a swap if it brought back some more draft capital but I don't see that making sense for either team really. Sheary and the 26 2nd for Milano?

it doesn't have to be washington, i was just told by washington fans how much they liked him. i just know that tampa needs him off their team badly.. terrible fit and taking up a roster spot because the coach isn't brave enough to scratch with the size of the contract.

4 aav is too low for Stamkos. Even taking a discount to finish his career in Tampa, I'd guess the contract would have to be in the 6 aav range. Anything higher than 6.5 and they should let him walk though, as Tampa will need space to add at least 1 middle 6 F and/or bolster the blue line.

Lots of rumors and speculation out there, but if 5 is the most JBB will go, then he'd be better off trying to trade Stamkos at the tdl so that they get some value back for him. I don't see Stamkos willing to take 5 aav, maybe 6-6.5x4 years.

The numbers that I heard for Tampa side is 5x4million

And that is believed they didn’t bring him this in the offseason to upset him before what is possibly his last season with Tampa. And to show him that tbl is willing to walk him to free agency as a bargaining tactic.. don’t know if I agree with this idea but it’s been well documented with Tampa players and agents that jbb negotiations are hard and he doesn’t cave

What source is saying 4 million aav, as I've seen nothing that indicates that's the most JBB will pay.

That was said on NHL network.. so take that for what its worth.. but it kinda makes sense amount wise.. the blueline needs help still even with these kids playing well. and they still need help in the top 6 because sheary was a swing and a miss... unless they move sergy before his NTC kicks in, which i've been told is a silly thought.. even though i don't think so.
