Nah dawg. Greenway is a guy we need for the (eventual) playoff run. Big and tough but also skilled. And if we're trading Mittelstadt, it needs to be for a top 4 D right NOW. We can't play the 4 year waiting game anymore. And Podkolzin is a fine player, but Buffalo has enough of his style.

Then keep Greenway and Mittelstadt out of your trades where you offer garbage.

If we’re trading Willander and a 1st then we’d be going for Thompson not Mittelstadt

The offer in that ACGM for Mittelstadt and Greenway had Lekkerimaki, Raty, Kuzmenko, and a 1st. That’s far from garbage. It’s an elite prospect, another B+ prospect, a middle 6 winger with 1st line upside, and a 1st. Which is a huge overpay

Guentzel likely costs less than that and is undoubtedly better

Zegras despite his struggles this year

If he became available JEE

Chychrun would cost less (tough to compare dman to forward though)

If the Canucks are moving Willander + a 1st it’s as the 2 big pieces of a package to get a superstar player, and there’s plenty of better targets than Mittelstadt

Based on your own ACGM less than a week ago the price for Mittelstadt is a 1st and scraps

For us Kuzmenko has negative value, Maybe for a team like Montreal who has less forwards and more D talent he has value

Mittelstadt is a young 60-70 point forward with more 5v5 points than everyone mentioned and hasnt had Crosby feeding him. He's not going to be discounted because a bad coach didn't utilize him properly 3 years ago

The trade was a 1st, 3rd, Johansen, and Chris Romaine. Not Seth Jones

You flipped the 1st and Johansen with another 1st, Ostlund, and Clifton to get Jones. But Mittelstadt himself according to you is worth a late 1st, a 3rd, a borderline cap dump, and a throw in prospect

Guentzel is above a PPG in his career in 38 games without Crosby. He’s great on his own, and is also a proven playoff performer. He’s most definitely better than Mittelstadt

38 games isnt half a season, for a player in his 8th season who played 500 games, and when he's not with Crosby he's with Malkin. Guentzel also walks after this year

Kevin Fiala got Faber and Minnesota 1st which was higher than what Vancouvers will be. Fiala basically exploded the year he was traded. Mitts is outscoring him on a crappier team. Jesus since last January he's been better than Fiala and Timo Meier.
