Don't think the Canucks should go all in. I think they overachieved

I'd rather have Chycrun than Guentzel. Canucks are giving up more for the worse asset.

The 1st and 2nd trades are realistic. 3rd and 4th are bad for the Pens.

    Van needs scoring, not defense.

Can I ask why? He is the #25 ranked prospect in the NHL and isn't even playing in NA yet. He doesn't appear to be a can't miss guy. So why is he special? I'm genuinely asking.

Penguins sign Guentzel for 8x8 and then trade him 7 months later with 50% retention (4mil over 7 years) essentially for lekkerimaki. How does this help the team?

Penguins don’t have interest in Kuzmenko and they’re not trading Guentzel.

You've got the order of operations backwards, there.

Beat me to it. It is a trade as a UFA then resign in the offseason.

He has a wicked shot and has the potential to be a top line winger and pp1 guy. Maybe I'm overvaluing him, but it seems unlikely they would trade him for a player that would probably leave after this season.

I can understand that but there is still a fair amount of risk. If you think this could be THE year for Van, wouldn't you want them to go for it?

    Just my opinion.
