Parayko hasn't played close to what is expected as a top Blueline for a couple years now. His advanced metrics don't paint a good picture either.
This is an overpay for a defenseman that would not be much of upgrade for us.

CBJ already have three Gs on their roster, and are trying to trade one of them.

Easy no for the blues. Not trading Parayko and not retaining even if we did. None of those pieces really interest the blues

Hahaha what??? It's a pile of meh for 7x1M retention on a guy playing his best hockey this season who also isn't available, but would immediately become your primary defender. The funny part is this guy actually made him 2nd pairing. Cmon guys, watch some hockey.
