A little while back, i proposed something like this….

Mittelstadt, UPL, Clifton (half retained), pick/prospect
for
Carlo, Ullmark

UPL would be a quality backup/1b, especially with your team in front of him
And Clifton is a downgrade from Carlo, but u guys already know he works well in your system
Plus u get a legit top6 Center

Idk…. Probably wouldn’t happen
But wishful thinking i guess

But idk that getting Mitts is enough to convince Boston to do it

Might have to add a prospect like Ostlund, or maybe even Savoie…. but tough to say

Could be worth overpaying if we can convince Boston of something reasonable

I don’t think it would happen during the season either
But maybe if Boston flames out in the playoffs again,
then they look hard at bringing in a top6 Center

Hopefully Lindholm is traded & signs w someone else this season, bc he’d be an obvious target for them
