Pittsburgh gets Podkolzin and some picks to make up the difference in skill between Guentzel and Kuzmenko, I do feel like the 'value scale' is tipped in Pittsburgh's favour but obviously they're giving up the best player. I think Podkolzin's potential is enough to make up for actually losing Guentzel and he's sorta in limbo in Vancouver's system rn I feel. Pittsburgh would be a team that's really trying to get ice time for Podkolzin.

Obviously it's a weird vibe with Kuzmenko rn, we all know he's good but that Tocchet doesn't like him which is unfortunate. I feel like for Pittsburgh they would want a good player back to stay competitive for Crosby and the caphits are right about the same so it does make sense to me for this trade to work both ways (assuming Dubas would actually trade Guentzel)

Basically just depth for a deep playoff run
