Problem with trading Mitch is very few contenders can afford his cap hit without carving out their own roster

Your short the other first rounder, top prospect and top six RW in the Marner trade. Marner only gets what the first 2 trades get LOL.

There are few teams that wouldn't find a way to make it work. Anyone who doesn't have a bias against that Leafs knows that Marner is a special player, top 5 at his position. Getting him at 27 years old is a massive gain to their team. I wouldn't trade him if I was the leafs. JT is getting way less after next season, it gets easier despite paying the core major money.

Mitch Marner is a Leaf and he’s not going anywhere.

Its really silly to think Leafs would ponder selling lul

They had one rough stretch after a 4 game winning streak.

That said what I like about the skid is it highlighted their Dcore needs some help specifically top 4 RD section

Heck we dont even know what happens when they go in. What if Bertuzzi and Domi go beastmode again like last year

Bertuzzi had 5 goals and assists in 7 playoff games.

Yeah this team isn’t winning anything this year but they still make the playoffs

Regular season and playoffs are different ball games

We have seen the Leafs have solid regular seasons and **** playoffs

Maybe they need a meh reg season to have a strong playoffs

Bertuzzi and Domi have shown to perform in playoffs thats what im mostly waiting for with them. As those two feel like they built for it

In the end to me you adress the Dcore bring in a RD and things should quiet down. As really once they get hot again were gonna go what we mad about

Its the 0-1-2 Cali trip all over lul

The thing is the team would have to be extraordinarily bad like Van for MLSE to do that

But they aint

With Van we saw infighting, last in the league PP, PK, etc

Toronto just needs to implement a new defensive structure as the current system be to easy to read

And this can come with adding someone to shift things around and to make up for certain weakness in the Dcore

They need 2 more defenceman. One elite RD would be great but who is that? Larsson and Tanev certainly aren't that.
