I don't know what Faulk's value is but I don't see the blues being that interested in Olofsson. Krebs can be a reclamation project but the blues probably won't value him that much. Don't know much about Johnson so no idea what type of player he can turn out to be

Pretty solid trade. I think R. Johnson would definitely pique the Blues' interest and, like Tennisman wrote, Krebs could be looked at as a reclamation project. Not sure they'd want Olofsson, but it would be great if Buffalo could offload him.

Faulk would be a solid add for a young d-corps over the course of the next two seasons

Giving up Johnson to get Faulk is simply filling one hole by creating another.

Faulk costs too much AAV. Need someone under 4.5 mil. Prob just keep signing 1-2 year stop gaps until Strbak has developed. Maybe get Demelo or Tanev signed for 2+ years in the offseason

One month away from signing with any team in the NHL Ryan Johnson decided to pick Buffalo.
I cannot envision any trade that would involve him this year or in the near future.

EDIT
Let me add, he is not a throw in, he is playing extremely well.
He does not play like a first year defense man.
He skates extremely well and while the sample size is small he is defending very well.

Ive loved Johnson so far. The only other Defensemen Ive seen play so smooth with their head up has been Quinn Hughes

The points are not accumulating as rapidly as one would expect considering how well he skates, going back 30 years he reminds me of Brian Campbell.
Ryan is so much better than I thought.
He is not physical but he has hockey sense.
Brian did not flourish until he was 26 yo.
