Take Raty out of the Montreal trade and it’s fair, but I’d target Henrique or Novak over Monahan

I’d also try to keep Suter if possible as he’s a good option for a cheap 3C next year

Although it may be an overpay I think they consider something else like a third and raty although I could see a condition making it a 2nd. there is more interest in prospects in montreal then draft picks.

I think the Canucks would want to keep Raty. He’s our only notable center prospect

I don’t really care about how many hits Novak has. I mean Monahan only has 9 in comparison. Novak and Henrique are better at 5v5, which helps the Canucks more than Monahan’s PP ability would

Calgary accepts. In fact you could remove Suter and they'd still accept. Huge overpay on Monahan, at best he fetches a 3rd with 50% retention.
