At this point, sending him down makes the most sense. Scratching him or burying him in the bottom 6 playing w/ Guttman and Entwistle is just stunting his development. Put him on a line in Rockford w/ Bjork at C and Gust on RW and let him get his mojo back.

I disagree. Seeing as they spent most of the season at the bottom of the standings, I think they want to get closer to the TDL and see where they are at before they make any decisions to add. If they decide there is something they need to address, they are going to need cap space. So, I just think they weren't in a position to be dumping cap if the team wasn't going to compete this year. I still doubt they do this, but I just don't think they "would've already don it if they were going to."

This wasn't really about that, though. I just wanted to add a trade so the post didn't get deleted or sent to the forum.

Maybe they’re waiting till closer to the deadline maybe the ask to take him drops from a 1st and a 3rd to just a 1st who knows only time will tell, it does make sense for them to dump him they have some big extensions coming up

I absolutely agree. Sure, he might feel a little crappy about it at first. But he'll get over it.

No offense meant to you, but anyone who believes the price is a 1st and a 3rd is kidding themselves. EDM would be unbelievably lucky to get someone to take him for so little.

Exactly. Which reminds me of another point I thought of recently. As low as they were in the standings before, they probably didn't want to trade that pick to dump him and then the team not bounce back and then they just traded away a top 10-15 pick. They probably want to ensure they are a playoff team before they make that kind of trade.

Can’t imagine that he’s feeling to great about his production (or lack of) right now anyway. If I was in his skates & was playing like he is currently I would be expecting to sit on the press box or going back to Rockford.
