Description
Canucks management has come out saying their 1st is on the table. They’ve said they are unlikely to trade their top prospects who have yet to turn pro meaning the likes of Lekkerimaki, Wallinder, Pettersson, Brzustewicz aren’t likely to be traded unless it’s for a player with term. For a rental it’s more likely to be a pick plus a minor league prospect like Karlsson, Bains, Raty, Klimovich, Podkolzin. Rutherford has said Kuzmenko will turn things around and score goals whether it’s with Canucks or another NHL. Given the money that is likely to be moved out to make room for an addition he’s the most likely given he hasn’t been a fit for the system. I don’t believe they move Hoglander. He’s forechecking as a complimentary top 6 winger and is 3rd in the league in goals per 60 (min 20 games played).

If there's no better offers on the table for Walker, I take it.

Return for Horvat was 1st, Raty and Beauvilier in a year Horvat scored 38 goals the year after scoring 31. Horvat > Lindholm and Lindholm isn’t going to re-sign so I can’t see the price being higher than a 1st and high prospect unless there is interest in having Kuzmenko as part of the package

CGY and PHI probably get better offers.

I dont think either prospect on offer would be considered high, maybe high mid level. But VAN 1st is low in the round, and the 2nd on offer to PHI is 2025.

Not bad, but I think both teams get better offers

That’s fair. I still think it’s unlikely Canucks include Hoglander, Lekkirimaki, Wallinder or Silvos. But the next tier is definitely in play (Raty, Klimovich, Karlsson, Bains) along with the 1st. Maybe Podkolzin but unlikely for a rental. If the price gets to high for Lindholm I think Canucks look to a tier below like Monahan or Duclair

Included them based on rumoured interest. Kuzmenko might be a better fit on a team with more cap flexibility and more run way for Kuz to re-establish his game. Sharks come to mind. If he has a good season next year he becomes a good trade asset for them at next year deadline.

HOW DO YOU KEEP LINDHOLM NEXT SEASON AT $8M per? You essentially would need to gut this team. And Walker is not taking $1.3M.

Calgary accept.
WSH-VCR trade rumour is getting too old, and it’s not going to happen.
Philly would keep Sean Walker - Danila Klimovich won’t be a good fit for the Flyers, especially under Torts.

Clearly, Lindholm would 100% be a rental. Walker potentially wouldn't be, depending on how he might play and what his ask would be.

Both are rentals for playoff run. Neither re-sign.

Why would Klimovich not be a good fit for flyers and Torts?

Lol he was scoring at 22%. Lindholm has scored at 6.5% this year. Horvat is also a defensive liability, unlike Lindholm

Also NYI have you the 13th OA pick, you are offering the 32nd OA pick. And last year Raty was viewed as a top 100 prospect, now he is not.

Horvat consistently one of the best at faceoffs in the league, more effective on the pp than Lindholm. True the 1st was higher but not true that Raty’s value has going down. His AHL production is up and his PNHLe has gone up. Point is, Lindholm is being overvalued if people think he’s going to net more than Horvat did.
