Why not? Seems like a pretty good move for them, frankly! Bury Reaves and eat 200k in space for two years instead of eating the full term of that Graves contract.

I'm kind of joking but realistically if they can't compete this yr it's just gonna get worse each yr. The team is so old. It'd be so fun to see Crosby do what Trottier did and join a cup contender as there 2c. Imagine he somehow went to Colorado for a few playoff runs.
