we have plenty of cap space for this year...As for the coach, if they continue to suck by March 2, I can see them selling some assets

Really… under cap space it says -…that’s a minus symbol… -$4,607,858… which means 4+m over the cap… we would need to move out Schmidt… which would make sense if we’re bringing in Pulock.

I don’t see the Isles doing anything major until they see what Roy can get from this lineup… and even then, it’s unlikely… don’t get me wrong, I’d absolutely love Pulock in WPG, and I like where your going with this, but Schmidt is a must go if we are bringing cap back.

I could see the Isles making some moves but I doubt trading Nelson would be one of them, Lou's history with the Islanders indicates he'll probably go get something he wants like he did in the Pageau and Horvat trades.

If Lou is smart he'll go get a couple wingers that can score, its all the Islanders are missing.

Because the Jets have been accruing, we get like 5.5m in extra cap space come TDL day

with 134K of cap? I mean that fair, he can do what he wants but this would be if they suck come March 2 and they want to do a reshuffle...save 9m in cap to rejig their lineup

Right now the isles are moving either. But if they did, the would not put both in 1 deal. We would want to maximum the return by trading them separately.

Ohhhhh I never said it'd be easy... 🤣

But maybe ol Lou gets creative, just don't see him moving either of these guys, also maybe they have more deadline cap space that he can work with, not sure about that though.
