While I do think Saros would be the perfect fit for Jersey. I feel like it would take a whole lot more than that to get Nashville to even be interested. Sadly, I think the deal would need to include Nemec and Holtz to start with.

It's gotta have a top prospect coming back to Nashville. One of Nemec, Casey or Holtz. Or maybe Mercer considering his upside and usage. Nashville would probably be willing to add a good depth piece if they are getting someone off of the active roster

Nemec: not a chance
Holtz or Casey: not much else if one of them
Mercer: Nashville is adding

Nemec and Holtz is hilarious. When has a goalie every returned that value.

Would not even consider nemec in a deal

While I get your point, you're missing why these rumors about Saros are out there. Trotz is only shopping him for more than any team would want to give up. It's not about fair value. Trotz is targeting desperate teams who want to have an elite goalie for two playoff runs. So Nashville wouldn't add to any trade, other than maybe another roster player or contact to make money work. Saros has another year on his contract and there is no incentive to trade him unless someone gives you an offer you can't refuse. So if he gets traded it'll take something like Holtz and a first to get the conversation started. Goalies may not have historically returned that much, but this is an exception because #1 goalies who can steal games don't get traded often.

This is a summer deal of at all IMO. Fitz likes to make these moves then. Its not as crazy as in-season, Askarov questions could be answered by then, how does NSH finish up this season. G's dont get that kind of pkg. JS is very good but he will only have 1 yr left. He's turning it on now but this season has not been his best.

I am not saying I am trading those guys. Nashville came out and said that they would only move him if a deal came along too good to be true. I think those are the types of players Nashville would ask for and if NJ said no. I think Nashville would be okay with that.
