For some reason, I heard from a source that Ottawa has interest in Tanev.
But I'm assuming Tanev wants to play for a playoff team.

They have interest in the player but the contract and age don’t make sense

Tanev on Ottawa would be a great fit... But only for next year. No need to trade assets for him though. There are a few other UFAs who could fit that mold also.

I agree.
He's 33 or 34 years of age, and he won't be a good fit for the Sens and their rebuild/retool.

Markstrom isn't waiving for one of the worst teams in the NHL.

And Christopher Tanev makes no sense for a Non-Playoff Senators team.

a 2nd for Markström, Jacob, anything more and your grosly overpaying and OTT should not spend major assets on a 34 YO who could crap out at any minute
