Not pay a **** load to move Ceci just to pay Carrier more. We watching the same NHL games?

Paying him 4.5M just means he's gonna be your "new Ceci".
And no, he's not. Only to analytics guys pretending they actually watch hockey.

I can't imagine the Kings and Oliers would try to help each other out.

Ceci, Cody
2024 1st round pick (EDM)
2025 4th round pick (EDM)
2026 6th round pick (EDM)

Shut up

To a delusional Leafs fan.
Ceci- Has another year, 16 game winning streak as 1RD under his belt.
Bourgault- 22nd overall RFA with 1 yr left that you don't downplay as "basically a 2nd"
4th & 6th- Where TF is the retention at least? 6th maybe, 4th hell no!

Sissons is fine but they need better 5v5 in the playoffs. Sissons is sus

Ceci has not been the reason for this win streak and Bourgault is going to be no more than a third liner and for them to get Sissons will help for their quest for the cup

1st off, yup Ceci has played very well for EDM during this 16 game winning streak!
Bourgault isn't expected to be a 3rd liner next year.
Sissons is sus 5on5... that's a playoff nightmare EDM already lived the last 2 seasons!

I didn't say Ceci hasn't been playing well, like he has, but the Oilers would be getting a HUGE upgrade with Carrier and yes Sissons is uncertain but like he is a pretty damn good player for the price

Ceci is tied for 41st in goal differential at 5on5 among Dmen(+7) while playing 1RD & 2 more mins per game than Carrier... wanna know where Carrier is? Not close!

Carrier is a good player. I like him and wouldn’t mind moving Ceci out. But Carrier is a midget when it comes to playoff hockey in size and experience.

I think Broberg is an overpay for Kalyiev. Broberg is a guaranteed NHLer. Kalyiev is a one trick pony that coaches can’t rely on.

That is true but Nurse 6'4, Ekholm 6'5, Bouchard 6'2, Kulak 6'2, Deshernais 6'7 so i think someone like Carrier wouldn't affect it

Broberg has more potential but Kaliyev is more likely to become a better player and he'd thrive in the Oilers Top 9

That was my thought as well. Ceci at 6'2 210 is already the smallest D in Edmonton, Holland has built the defense corps for playoff hockey and there's not a snowball's chance in hell that he'll go for a 5'11 174 guy on the back end.

And it's a massive overpay.

Sissons isn't worth his salary.

Okay you got me listening. What do you think about Kalyiev would work on the Oilers Top 9. Keep in mind we’re playing a pretty complete team defence system too, how is Kalyiev in that regard.

I just think that he could play anywhere in the Oilers lineup, I mean he is a big guy. He has an elite shot and I think he could score 20+ goals a year and play PP2. Sure he is not great defensively but him with possibly McLeod and Foegele would be a sick line and they are a lot better defensively too. And even if defence isn't there a line of Janmark - Ryan - Gagner can be their shutdown line. I could be wrong but I like him as a fit over Broberg.
