Talk about Leafs overpaying, wow. I could eliminate many pieces and still be an overpay.

The worst part about this is that as a Leafs fan you're probably serious

You're right, that's horrendous for Minnesota.

You could offer all that for JEEK alone, and still be turned down flat on the spot.

Likewise, for Faber.

Both players are untouchable and it would take Matthews coming back our way for us to ever consider moving either JEEK or Faber in the first place.

Glad you are married to your player. Happy for you. Matthews coming back proves you are from outer space

This isn't a video game. You can't just keep adding to your garbage pile to acquire 2 very good players. You need to give significant value to get significant value.

Not saying you are wrong, saying asking for Matthews who is the highest paid player next year for even one of these guys is silly

Tell me where I said it was an even value player for player swap... or that we wouldn't have to add to get him?

Because I didn't.

All I said was Matthews would need to be coming back Minnesota's way for either Eriksson-Ek or Faber, probably both, to become available and on the table negotiation wise as part of a trade.

That's it.

That's the reality. You're literally asking for the two biggest cornerstone and core pieces of Minnesota's roster not named Kaprizov. They're simply more important and intrinsic to Minnesota's future chances of success than even Boldy. Did you honestly think that they would be available for nothing short of a legitimate franchise level 1C? Because again, that's the MINIMUM it would take for the Wild to ever consider moving them.

How good Matthews is and whatever you may think his value is, is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, only that he's the main centerpiece and ask by Guerin in any discussion for Eriksson-Ek and or Faber.
