Absolutely not.
Jackets will do EVERYTHING possible to keep jiricek.

IF for some reason they determine he needs to be traded, he's bringing back a top 5 pick or an elite prospect at minimum.

Shocker, other team fans want to give CBJ peanuts for a top prospect but that same top prospect on their team would require a first and top prospect plus. Right.......

after laughing on the floor for the last 5 minutes i can now reply to this ridiculous statement, there is no team that will trade a top 5 pick for a prospect that has done jack **** in the NHL.

I'd say it's pretty agreed upon that he's expected to be a top pair defenseman and Is a very recent 6th overall pick. These guys don't come along often, let alone the ability to trade for one at his age. They're not cheap.

Time to get up off the floor.

Agreed man. Especially as a right-shot D-man in this market. His value is at least a first or a similarly projected prospect.

I do believe you underestimate how good this kid is. Not sure what fan base your from, but my guess would be he'd be the number one prospect on 15-20 of the teams in the NHL right now, and he's NHL ready.
