I like the attempt, but this is a problematic trade for the Pens. Jarry makes $5.4M, so they're not taking on a $4.5M goalie and please don't say we can just move one of them.

1st + Eetu + real prospect and we're in the ballpark. Regardless, Jake isn't going anywhere.

No. Don't need Knight, Benning sucks, and Luo (I'm a big fan) is just a guy

Not even sure I'd want Lundell atp, His best year was his rookie year and hasn't shown any signs of progress since

I really like Lundell. I feel him at 2C with Malkin on his wing would be great for both players

Maybe a change of scenery will help, I could certainly see him being a guy who really improves with a new team, but I generally don't want to take a high risk (trading Jake) bet on that. I could see him playing very well with Malkin, he's a very smart, defensive player, but doesn't have a *ton* of skill or speed (relative to a potentially elite player) so he can be in the right places to support him offensively and cover for his defense. However, I'm not really sure they'd ever move Malkin off 2C, they greatly need bottom 6 help, and he could be a great 3C, and now they need a 1W to replace Jake. Unless you want to do a soft rebuild around 37 yr olds, which is worst case scenario for this team imo.
