I dont think Seattle is the right fit and that is way too much for them to be giving up for a rental, even with guentzel they aren’t a contender.

Hawks decline. Even w/ the retention, Hawks won't want to take on 4 more years of Rakell. And they certainly wouldn't pay anything for him if they did.

Seattle is 10th in the West, so no way do they give up a first. Besides how does really help Seattle this year when they lose two players and only get one in return.
You know these sign and trade are mostly fantasy. They happen so rarely.

OK. But teams sign UFAs....for free. They rarely pay a premium .....and that's a big premium.
What does 30 year old Guentzel contract look like next season? Just thinking there isn't that many good teams that have the cap for him, so if it's just money, maybe Seattle or something similar is the destination.

He'd probably sign $8-$8.5M AVV extension with SEA -- get rejected with PIT because the long term fit
