Team is looking crazy strong...

Additional Details:

Florida uses Knight to fill their top 9 and top 6 at the trade deadline and gets some more cap space for next season. If negotiations with Reinhart fail and he leaves Florida can re-sign Toffoli for cheaper.

Would hurt to get rid of Knight but Bobrovsky has been playing great this season and last playoffs so maybe Florida could trust him to be their goalie for the remainder of his contract.

I would think this is a pretty good trade

I think don't think it's a bad trade, but I also don't think the Devils make this move.

NJ has had a ton of injuries on the blueline, specifically to their veterans so trading out Colin Miller would essentially leave the Devils with 4 defenseman under the age of 23 for the rest of the year.

Also, Fitz has mentioned possibly resigning Toffoli so I'm unsure if they deal him at TDL. I'd love to get Knight that would be a good get for NJ.

I'd be in favor of it...but I think Devils GM would wait until off-season to do this sort of move

Trade would have to be restructured (maybe something around a Knight/Marino swap?) if it was done in the offseason since the value Florida gets here is help for a playoff run...

I think the point here is NJ trades 2 pending UFAs to fill the goalie need. Helps FLA this year for their playoff run and NJD in the future because I can’t see a move like this propelling the Devils into a playoff spot this year.

Would this even be a goalie change tho? We may have knight report to the AHL for a bit at least and see where we go from there. Especially if we’re selling toffoli and miller
