I just don’t think they want to move Jenner, especially to division rival

If they did, Drury should be all over it

Value wise? Absolutely. But I doubt Columbus trades their captain

Yes, but you have to keep in mind a few things:
1.) locked up for term
2.) that term is very team friendly
3.) fits in almost any team/ system
4.) think of him as a Charlie Coyle or Ondřej Palát. Heart and soul type that is unsung in the middle six.

Boone is good near net on PP…but probably isn’t touching the ice with NYR power play. And there are probably better 5v5 players to fill 3C.

I think it's pretty interesting cause Boone definitely fits the way NYR would like to play in a vacuum, but what you said is super valid. I think he'd probably get time on PP2, but definitely not sniffing the top unit lol. And 3C is tough too. With the price CBJ would ask to even consider moving him, I don't think it makes sense for a team who'd stick him at 3C to pull the trigger. Really only makes sense value wise for the receiving team of they're gonna put him at 2LW/2C imo, and even that's an if since the CBJ asking price will always outweigh his raw value.

Same role as Kreider does on PP…seems like it would waste one of his strengths.

Henrique is the guy I think NYR should target. Or Granlund.

Yeah, he'd be good enough to play on PP2 tho surely? Is Kreider playing on both units?
Yeah, I think those 2 make a lot more sense for NYR though. Plus non an in division trade so more realistic.

Not bad value wise. But CBJ fans can’t let Captain Boone go, he’s stolen their hearts.

Boone was second in the NHL in 5v5 goals before he took a puck to the face

NYR doesn’t need a center that excels in net-front (they have guys who can do that). They need someone that will mostly play 5v5 minutes in rotation at 3C, so there are better options out there that fill that role and don’t cost them as much.

As example for other side, the Devils have not had a good net front player for PP in years. If they start looking for 3C, a guy like Jenner would be much more valuable to NJD than to NYR.

Make sense?
