Rangers are trying to win this season. Unless there is another trade counter to this one for them, doesn’t make sense to just get picks for a roster player.

Kakko is worth at least a first still at minimum. You clearly don't follow him at all because you can't even spell his name right.

Would you entertain trading Schenn or Hayes if the Rangers added something to the package

laugh NYR aren't moving Kakko for picks, It'll need to be a similar valued player also needing a change of scenery.

I’d add Hayes over Schenn since he’s cheaper and familiar with the organization, STL can let Dvorsky run with the 3C next season if he’s ready.

Feels like I’ve been seeing your name on a lot of posts recently with comments like this. You sure know a bunch about a lot of teams. I’ll make sure to check with you on every proposal!

I would entertain trades for either. Only problem is the Blues are not going to retain on Schenns contract because of term.

I would doubt that he is ready at the beginning of the season. Not impossible, but I doubt we get any Dvorsky next season.

I spelled his name wrong big deal, he has 6 points this year and has only played 1 full season while averaging 13 minutes a night. I highly doubt NYR would get a 1st rounder as a reward for that type of production even if he was the 2nd overall pick. If it’s 18-32 overall I might consider it based off his potential to be a top 6 guy.

I know you said no retention on Schenn, but would you consider

Blues Recieve
Kaapo Kakko
2025 1st
2024 2nd (Turns to 1st if Rangers make Stanley Cup Final)

Rangers Recieve
Brayden Schenn $1.5 Million Retained
Kasperi Kapanen $1.6 Million Retained

I agree. However NYR fans overvalue both Laffy and Kakko. Whoever said hes worth a 1st is smoking something. Hes worth a 2nd tops, i agree with the poster, 2nd/3rd. But yes NYR would only do it for a piece that would help them now...

Maybe. 4 1/4 years is a bit of a long retention, but it is a good return I think. The only problem is having that slot taken up could make it harder to move out D in the future. To answer your question though, yes I would entertain it.
