Massively overpay to get the current 4th line center on the Crapitals and play him at 3C, then pay nothing for the current 2nd line center on the Krakden'ers and play him at 4C...?

Dowd plays like 16 minutes a games and is a top 10 defensive forward lol. you are clearly ignorant to his game (shocker). He gets deployed a lot in the Dzone which most intelligent folks find useful. smile do better

I might not agree with it, but the market for playoff rental C has been set at a 1st plus, and I don't see how Wennberg is worth significantly less than Monahan, especially with retention too.
The 3rd, 4th and 7th is laughable!
TBH take the 2nd you were sending Caps for Dowd, pair it with the 4th and you probably have something realistic for Rangers and Kraken.
That said I think we might re-sign him, so unless the offer is a 1st I don't see us giving him up.

Cool. He's still the 4th line center on a team with barely any centers...

I think Caps would want more to move Dowd in-division

Kessel was also a 3rd line winger and was the best player on the Penguins when they won b2b cups... again intelligent folks look at ice time and deployment over categorizing guys by lines

That's cool. Dowd has 5 points in 26 career playoff games, while Kessel was operating at nearly a point per game in those back to back runs, with 45 points in 49 games. I have no idea where you are drawing this comparison from. But I have no problems keeping this up. Keep hurling insults instead of anything useful : D

I would love Dowd... for our 4th line, which is what he is. Not an insult to him, it's a fact. We already have Goodrow and Bonino for that. Is Dowd better than both of them? Probably, but not by any insane margin. But again, this team is putting him at 3C where he won't excel. Our biggest problem is 5 on 5 scoring, not a bottom 6 defensive forward. This trade doesn't help us.

Sorry but Dowd is 5 times better than both bonino and goodrow, if you can’t see that then you are either way too biased or you are blind…

For the several-ith time, that's all well and good. But he's not a 3C on the New York Rangers. The above team is not better and does not help whatsoever to current "problems" in Rangerland.

This site literally has him ranked as a 3c lol but yes you know way more right? Hes a fantastic shutdown center that would be a sizeable improvement at 3c for the rangers

Nice job ignoring your failure in the last post. He's listed as 4C on all lineup projection websites, including this one. But keep trying!

Again for your thick head, Dowd = good player. Dowd =/= good 3C for Rangers. Rangers need 5 on 5 scoring especially in the depth department. Figure it out

LMFAO literally click on his name... DOWD 83 3L. Projection: Third Line. I swear people are clueless AF. SOOO FOR YOUR THICK HEAD most 4c dont play 16 minutes a night. MOST are sub 10 minutes SOOOO use common sense. IF YOU ARE CONFUSED this site will give you a rating / where they project the player is in the line up followed by scores and ratings. YOU should understand the website you are using instead of being arrogant and clueless

my last post was proving Kessel WAS LISTED as a 3rd liner WHILE producing like a top liner. looking at lines instead of performance is idiotic .... like what you are doing

Lmfao. I can't believe anyone would take that failed ranking system as gospel. Kessel during that time period would have absolutely been "ranked" 1L, not 3L. I thought you were going based off something else, not that joke system. So I guess Dildo Strome plays 2C because that's what his rank is? Majority of those ranks are terrible, look around the other teams and you'll see so many inconsistencies. But now that I know that's what you're screaming about, I'm bowing out of this. Enjoy basing all of your NHL knowledge on that terrible system that

Dylan Strome is a 2c lol. ITs funny bc you are arguing my point. "Kessel during that time period would have absolutely been "ranked" 1L, not 3L" no **** thats my exact points you idiot lmfao. He was "listed" as a 3L but realistically hes a 1L but if i was dumb like you i would say "Dailyfaceoff has Kessel on the 3rdline. he must be a 3rd liner" JUST LIKE DOWD. holy crap i bet you are still too stupid to understand this.😊

Also funny you think its a failed system but it just showing you where the players fits best in a lineup and how they rank in that position. you are just too dumb to understand it
