Raycroft had won the Calder in Boston, and rask refused to sign with toronto.

Off the top of my head I can think of some comparables neiwndyk for Iginla, fiala for granlund.
Toffoli for sharngovich
Lehkonen for barron
Ekholm for schaffer

And them you're literally making stuff up about rask, there was never anything about him not wanting to sign in toronto, in fact boston would have taken pogge but jfj thought the wjc win meant something and raycroft was so bad in Boston they were literally preparing to waive him if they couldnt trade him.

The monahan trade means 1 thing, that the jets thought they needed him that bad and they over paid. Hell, if you do the smallest amount of research you can see better players going for less returns after bad trades pretty much every year as far back as you wanna go.

And the best part is my entire point was that paying that much for vatrano would be a regrettable mistake, over pay or not.

Rasks agent told JF Jr he wasn't willing to play behind pogge as the leafs saw more potential with him and wasn't going to sign with the team.. leafs traded for a struggling Raycroft after having a great rookie season.

I agree that monahan was an overpay. But he just got a first rd pick, lindholm got a 1st solid winger and good prospect. Both of whom are UFAs in July.
Vatrano is having a great year for the second year in a row and is cost controlled for 2 seasons at under 4mill.

But to my original point my Gm calls Anahiem for henrique, anahiem says the starting bid is a 1st and 2nd or prospect because Henrique is better than monahan and that's what he got.

Tell ya what, you find me that clip because literally no leafs fan has ever seen this or else it would be everywhere and mentioned every time the rask trade, one of the worst trades of all time, was brought up.

Lindholm got more because he's better, and has a much better more recent record. Also kuzemenko was a cap dump, not a value add.

Could vatrano get that? Sure, like ive said bad trades are made every year. But the team will regret it, probably almost immediately
